Overlay
An overlay covers the page, or one container, to block interaction and focus attention: behind a loading indicator, a custom panel or a spotlight message.
Dark, light and transparent, inside a container
Absolute confines the overlay to the nearest positioned ancestor, here each card with position: relative. DarkBackground and LightBackground use theme colors.
Full screen with auto-close
Without Absolute the overlay covers the window. AutoClose hides it on click and raises OnClosed.

Loading over a card
An overlay with a progress indicator blocks a card while it refreshes. The work can be canceled, and it stops if you leave the page.
